The company that runs itself
An active Houston cleaning company, run day-to-day by the AI layer where every system is proven before it ships. Speed-to-lead, lifecycle, work-queue, weekly CFO brief, daily ad audits.
About
Modus builds autonomous AI operations systems — and we forged them inside real operating companies before any client ever touched them. Today there are 11 of those systems running in production across four industries — residential cleaning, commercial facilities, e-commerce, and professional services.
Operating from the inside taught us something no agency learns from the outside: where small companies actually bleed. It’s not one dramatic failure — it’s a lead that texts at 9pm and waits until morning, a follow-up that lives in someone’s memory, a good customer who quietly lapses, an invoice aging in a thread nobody re-reads. Every one of them invisible. Every one of them money.
For most owners the solution is always the same: work later, check the phone more, be the safety net. That doesn’t scale, and it burns people down.
So we build systems instead. Not chatbots — an operations layer that runs across departments: Sales and CRM, Operations and Staffing, Finance, Marketing and Ads, lead-gen. Software that watches every lead, every conversation, every customer, and every dollar around the clock, handles what it safely can, and hands the owner the short list of things that genuinely need them.
Those systems have caught five-figure leaks, handled tens of thousands of conversations, hold lead response under sixty seconds, and give owners back 40+ hours a week. Building for your own operation changes how you build: a system that fails quietly costs you real jobs and real customers, so reliability isn’t a feature, it’s the whole point.
Now the same engine gets installed in other owner-led businesses — configured to your tools and your workflow, not a platform you migrate to.
What we believe
The technology is the easy part. Knowing where a service business leaks — because we’ve paid for those leaks ourselves — is the product.
The first business to respond usually takes the customer. Seconds beat hours, every time, forever.
The system does the watching and chasing so your people can do the judging and the relationships.
If we claim a number, it comes from a log you can look at. If we can’t prove it, we don’t say it.
Most owners don’t need more leads — they need to stop losing the ones they’ve paid for.
The proving grounds
An active Houston cleaning company, run day-to-day by the AI layer where every system is proven before it ships. Speed-to-lead, lifecycle, work-queue, weekly CFO brief, daily ad audits.
A commercial cleaning and facility-services operation — where the same engine handles cold outbound, deliverability, pipeline, and client ops for B2B work.
An automotive e-commerce brand. Proof we ship customer-facing builds too: a storefront rebuilt end-to-end and live in production.
Beyond client work: an autonomous workforce/recruiting engine and a personal operations command center — voice-to-task, calendar, and journaling — that route a founder’s whole day. We build past the brief.
Tell us how your business runs. We’ll tell you where we’d look — and the audit will tell us both if we’re right.
